A "Labor Day" of Love

I hope you are all enjoying what is our last day of summer here.  The kids go back to school tomorrow, well, at least the girls do, O-Man doesn't start until next week.  He is currently curled up in my lap with a bit of a cold and his new favorite slippers that I finished for him this morning.

A bit of a back story first... whenever I make the girls something, usually dresses, he asks me to make him one, even dresses.  So last night when the request for "Monster Feet" came in, I realized that was something I could easily make him that would be all his.  After a bit of time looking online for a quick pattern and not finding what he wanted, I made up my own.  He requested "monster eyes" on his monster feet and after a bit of trial and error, he is thrilled with his Green Eyed Monster Feet"
He kept covering his face!  They are a little big on him, but he's thrilled with them.  I'm planning on working on the design and making an actual pattern... I have a few people in mind who might be getting some of these for Christmas or birthdays!
Best part?  Everything came from my stash and so will any future green eyed monster feet!  Happy September Stashbusting!

Peace be with you,

I'll be linking up to some of these parties, stop by and check out the talent!

Whoa! Can you just whip those out? It would take me about a year to crochet that much. Those slippers are SO cute...love the eyeballs.

For those who asked and I couldn't reply to, I didn't use a pattern, I just measured the to his foot as I went along, second one was a snap but first one took longer. I'm sure you could use a pattern but the one I had I didn't care for so I made up my own.

Isn't it funny how we make so many more projects for our girls. I love these and if i had any skills with yarn I would attempt, alas I just use it for doll hair.
