I think it's fantastic the way it is. I might be stealing this idea with one of my old work shirts for Emily. :) If you really want to make it longer, maybe a 2-3 inch navy panel on the bottom or an off white eyelet trim?

what a pretty idea! may i ask where you got it from? thanks!

Keep it at tunic length! Thank you for linking up to Ucycled Awesome at www.thetshirtdiaries.com.

I like it as it is, but the idea of a navy panel is good too!!

Count me in for leaving it as it is. I wear short dresses with jeans all the time.

I love your new dress/tunic. I like it as a dress. I will have to give this a try.

Wow! This looks amazing. great job!!

For me I'd make it a tunic because I'd want to wear capris or jeans under it. Very, very, very cute and uber creative. Nice work!

I do frequently look for inspiration from other clothes/designers but this time I just sat down with the shirt and made it up as I went along...

This came out great! I have a similar shirt I want to do something with! I might have to try something like this! I especially like your idea of shirring on the sides. I would love for you to come link up to my Sew Crafty Party !

Great job! The shirring helps to give it a more feminin shape!! Great job!
Thanks for linking up to Making It With Allie! I can't wait to see what you have for next week!

I love this! If it were me I would do a tunic length, but then I never wear dresses and I always wear jeans... I think it looks great like that with the jeans. I am giving this a try but bit off more than I can chew (trying to re-do the neckline, sleeves, etc.) and now I have a pile of scraps. I'm going to try again exactly like this. :)

I'm going to try 2 at a time with shirts that coordinate. That way I can use the sleeves of one as the midriff on the other... Thanks! I'm ready to sew!

I’m not a sewer, but this is adorable! Seriously, I’m thinking about requesting it from a family member as a favor swap!

I love this! What a great idea, and it turned out so feminine.
I don't like it as much as a tunic (if you want my opinion). I think it looks good as is with something under it, or you could lengthen it. I'm amazed at your skills!

You are awesome! This is great! I would keep it as is and just wear some leggings or something under it - because well I am tall! :) Thanks for sharing this at fantastic Friday. I hope that you will join us again this week!

My husband just handed me one of his shirt the other day because of a slight tear near the cuff. I can't wait to try this out!

It's Adorable Emily!! Just awesome. I like the pattern you have created and it really rocks. Especially the navy cut belt type pattern. Good Job & keep going*. Your idea of refashioning the dress shirts is superb.
