Creating Success Around the World - Carrie My Favorite Finds

Hey all!  Sorry for the lack of posts but between life and a computer that has been crashing a few times a day, I'm just plain behind.



I'm participating in a fun blog hop to help us all get to know a bit more about some of my favorite bloggers.  If you don't already know her, I'd love for you to meet Carrie and join in the blog hop!!!!

Hello!  My name is Carrie, and I blog over at My Favorite Finds.  I'm approaching my 35th birthday, and I'm not at all ashamed to admit it!  I'm a mommy to twin boy who just turned nine, and a two year old princess girl. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we just celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary.

I blog about menu planning, food, crafts, organizing, and my favorite....Disney travel.

I am so pleased to be answering some interview questions for my bloggy friend, Emily, over at Domestic Deadline.  

What do you create?  

I create scrapbooks to keep our family memories close!  I also create a lot of home decor items to pretty up our house.  I love working with monograms, ribbon, and my Cricut!  I love making homemade scrubs, anything on canvas, and currently I'm working on our spring mantel. 

Why do you create? 

 I create to keep my mind fresh.  I feel in slump if I am not creating or at least making a list of projects.  I love sharing my creations with others by giving them as gifts.  My husband recently set up our office with an awesome counter and storage space for me.  I am in there all the time!

Do you sell your creations? If so, how? Where? And is it profitable?

Not currently, but I am hoping to open an Etsy shop in the very near future.  

What mistakes have you made or lessons you have learned?  

The most important lesson I've learned is that fear can really hold me back.  I was afraid of starting a blog, and I finally got over it and now I'm approaching 200 followers.  Yay! Every milestone counts, right?! 

What, to you is success? Have you achieved it yet, or are you on your way towards success?

To me, success is when others are benefit from something I've done.  Making others happy is success to me!  I have achieved it in some areas, but in others not so much.  However, I think I'm on my way!

So, what's next?

Next, I hope to open an Etsy shop and also work on growing my blog.  All this while enjoying my children and husband!
