Fabric Rose Necklace

I have been using up a lot of my fabric scraps lately. In doing so, I have amassed a ton of fabric roses. So, I decided to put a few of them together and make a fun necklace. I really like the way it turned out and I got several compliments wearing it at Muffins with Mom at the girls school.

 

There are tons of tutorials out there on how to make these roses, they are pretty easy.  I glued them to a felt back with a chain running through the back side.

WIMTWW: Accessories Make the Outfit

While on vacation, I worked on making some fun hair accessories to fill my etsy shop with.  My beautiful Baby Sister modeled them for me on the shores of Lake Erie one day:

 

I have fun mixing and matching fabrics and buttons to make these fringy flowers.

Each one has an alligator clip that can be clipped into hair or onto clothing.

Unfortunately her gorgeous hair isn't included!  I got the stick straight hair in the family (both my sisters have awesome curls).

Here's a close up!  Each one is hand sewn.  I just love fabric so much, I have to use up every last bit I can!  I have a few other flower designs in the works as well.

While we are on the accessories topic, I have to add I can't wait for my new glasses to arrive!  Last summer I discovered and got a two pairs of glasses and two pairs of sunglasses for under $100!  While I do prefer to wear contacts, with a fun selection of glasses, I can change my look with a different pair of glasses.   I now have brown glasses and black glasses.  Red ones and pink ones.  Even purple ones!  But I wear a lot of blue so I was thrilled when I saw this: EyeBuyDirect.com has hot new Deals of the Week! and found a fun pair of blue glasses for under $20!
