June-bug, my eldest, is officially done with elementary school! I can't believe in just a few short weeks, she will be starting middle school. We celebrated the graduation with a few of her friends families. A deejay, dancing and of course dessert!
When I found these darling treats on Sweet Simple Stuff, I knew they were perfect. Following the basic directions, June-bug helped, and they turned out great. Here is what you'll need:
Melting chocolates or chocolate chips
Chocolate covered graham crackers
Air Heads Extremes or another similar gummy candy that can be cut to make a tassel
Lolly pop sticks
Using 30 second intervals, we melted our chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring at every interval. With a bit of chocolate on the stick, push one into each marshmallow. Tip: push the stick all the way into the marshmallow, almost sticking out the other side, but just before. The next part is the only way we differed from the original instructions, and it worked in our favor.
Once they were all dipped, placed on a chocolate covered graham cracker and cooled, the candies were added to finish them up! We "planted" them in blue buckets, her school's color.
